Use MatchMyTool Inside Claude and Other AI Agents (MCP)

mcpproductsoftwareai

"What tool should I use for X?" is one of the most common questions people bring to an AI assistant — and one of the ones it answers least reliably, because the honest answer depends on scored, current data about a lot of tools. MatchMyTool does that scoring for a living. Now your assistant can ask it directly.

MatchMyTool is live as an MCP server. MCP — the Model Context Protocol — is the open standard that lets AI agents call real tools instead of guessing. Connect it once and Claude (or ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client) can turn a plain-English need into ranked, reasoned tool matches.

What your assistant can do

The connector adds one focused tool, and it's the one that's hard to fake:

  • Match a need to tools — describe what you need in plain English and get AI-matched software with relevance scores (0–100), categories, and a specific reason for each match. "Find me a tool to manage engineering sprints for a small team" returns a ranked shortlist, not a vague list of names.

Because the assistant reasons over the matches, the follow-ups come for free: "compare the top two," "which of these has a free tier," "why did you rank that one first?" Matching runs on a daily free allowance — no credit card — and when you hit the cap the assistant tells you and links to upgrade, so nothing fails silently.

Connect in about two minutes

In your MCP client, open connector settings, add a custom connector, and paste the Keelara MCP server URL — leave the OAuth fields blank, since registration is automatic. Sign in with a free Keelara account, set the tool to Always allow, and go. The setup steps and FAQ are on the MatchMyTool MCP page, and you can try it live in the linked Keelara console playground.

The full experience is still here

The connector complements the app. Keep exploring the catalog at /browse and putting options head-to-head in /compare when you want the visual side-by-side. And because PromptCueLab, CraftMyStack, and CraftMyFlow are MCP servers too, one Keelara login hands your assistant the whole toolkit — discover, compare, build, and automate in one place. Connect MatchMyTool and let your assistant match on real scores, not vibes.
